The sandwich really didn’t convey a “breakfast” flavor of any kind, despite being on a biscuit, and the fact that their are no condiments or toppings on it makes it taste kind of plain (I elected to dip mine in honey). If you are intrigued by the idea of trying a chicken breakfast sandwich, give it a shot. I buy fast food breakfast about 4 times a year, so I’m not going to be the one driving sales of this product, but hey, if you like it, maybe you could be.At McDonald's, we take great care to serve quality, great-tasting menu items to our customers each and every time they visit our restaurants. It was just enough to give it a mild kick but not super noticeable. The sandwich appeared small at first…you certainly shouldn’t expect anything of burger width. It was thick but very small around. The biscuit was decent – I imagine it’s the same biscuits they use for their other breakfast sandwiches. The chicken was actually a surprisingly tasty piece of meat – piping hot, tender and very light & fluffy. The “southern style” flavor seemed to consist of a bit of spices in the breading. This sandwich is basically a knock off of those.

This morning I headed over to McDonald’s to grab one of their free Southern Style Chicken Biscuits. I was intrigued by the idea of a chicken breakfast sandwich, having really only experienced it at Chick-fil-A before.
