It's in the small area between Joel and the next rooftop. On the other side, you'll hear a clicker. Grab it and then position Joel so he's facing the next rooftop. The first rooftop will require us to use the plank from earlier. We'll want to move across the rooftops between us and the church ahead. Climb the ladder to access the rooftop above you. Once you're across, pick the plank up and lean it against the wall next to the ladder. Next, run across the nearby plank to the small outcrop with a ladder. On top of the truck you'll find a bow next to some beer bottles and another arrow. The small scenic store houses some useful crafting items, as well as some supplements Joel can add to his stash (you'll also learn that Ellie is surprisingly passionate about Garden Gnomes, which Joel nurtures the only way he knows how: grunting).
A good starting point is the garden west of Joel when he arrives through the gate. There's a lot to discover on the high street of Bill's Town, including some much-need resources that will help us tackle the challenges ahead. Lure him out using a distraction and finish him off with a brick melee attack, shiv stealth attack or our newly acquired Modified Weapon. He's wedged himself in the perfect ambush spot, hiding inside the shed at the bottom of the stairs in the centre of the area. Cross over it and you'll officially enter Bill's Town. Position Joel so he's facing the building on the opposite side of the fence and then place the plank down. Add it to your arsenal and then hoist the plank up.

These melee weapons have a powerful upgrade that kills an enemy in a single hit, although the modification can only be used once before the melee weapon returns to its standard damage output.
On top of the building, you'll find your first Modified Weapon. Circle back around to the front of the building and climb to its roof using the crate beside it. Grab them and then head north, following the path up towards a chainlink fence separating you from a large water tower. Head to the east side of the area and you'll find some bandages and alcohol. Push down the hill ahead and you'll enter a large clearing with a stream running through its centre. After the two have hopped a railing and dropped into the woods bordering the scenic locale, you'll regain control. The chapter will begin with a short cutscene, as Joel and Ellie arrive in Bill's Town.
